Good reason for revisiting literature periodically. I tell this to the younger students that when they check out something like Harry Potter: even if you can read the words, it doesn’t mean that you understand the story, or won’t get more out of it when you’re older.

A few years ago I revisited many childhood favorites, to see what held up.

Not to mention how damaging to self-esteem low grades are. And think of the teacher time freed up by not having to read, comment upon, and grade student work. Why, all the educators could spend those extra hours getting up to speed on educational technology! Makes perfect sense: only those who lack the energy & initiative to cheat should fail.
