Having discussions right now about how we can do this at my school. Will try and get something going for second semester here - July start (if not before). Perhaps we could link our classes so they can compare notes as to how they are going when we get this off the ground. Noel's offering support.

		<description>My favorite part about this whole idea is the interview process. It's the difference between a required English course where the discussions go flat and a class where the students build off of each other to reach a bigger goal. 

I hope we can work something out like this at Punahou.

I've pushed students who don't want to. It feels like a dead end: they're conditioned, they're choosing, traditional 20th century education.

The kids who "can't"?  I don't know what you mean for sure. But I want to enable those who can.  I want to pull.

It's an elective class.  I really see it as similar to the "talented and gifted" - or simply "advanced" - courses for writers and artists.

I can't draw, to extend that analogy, to save my life. But I'm glad there are advanced classes for those students who want to, and can.</description>
