  1. When I first saw this I only saw clockwise spinning. Now I can see both.

  2. I can see both, but saw anti-clockwise first…definitely left-brained (will have to test my artist/musician husband later!).

Comes from all that Dewy decimal training, logical order, etc. Wanted to be a Math major before I switched to my first love, English Lit.

  4. I saw clockwise the whole time. My wife saw counterclockwise but soon saw it both ways — I must be a heavy right brain thinker because I couldn’t see anything by clockwise :-)

  5. Clockwise, both times I have tried.
    However, I can see counter-clockwise.

The funny thing is, everyone thinks I am highly analytical and left-brained. In reality, I think I am ambi-brained (not a word) since I have about equal intuitive and rational skills.

  6. counter-clockwise. Left brained. Although I’m not sure how accurate that is since I’ve seen that spinning lady before. But I tried to just see what my first impression was *this* time.

  7. I saw counter-clockwise for the first five seconds, looked away, and saw clockwise from then on.

Now I can’t see counterclockwise again.

    Am I “ambi-brained” like Arthus?

  8. This is scary.. I could only see clockwise first, and I thought I can’t see counterclockwise. Then, I see counterclockwise, and can’t see clockwise. My brain must be whacked up! Maybe I’m like Mr. Burell and Arthus :)! But I do think I have that randomness.

  9. Whoah… I only see it counter-clockwise. Hmm… but I always thought myself as a Right-Brained person…. Maybe not. So does this mean I shouldn’t go towards art? Oh no… ;)

  10. I can only see clockwise. Interesting test. Cannot make it go counter-clockwise; however I have a dominant left eye. Could be a physical limitation there. This blog is always interesting. Mike

  11. I saw clockwise first but then counter. I keep staring at the thing trying to figure out why it is doing that, must be my left brain working! :)

  12. interesting to collect data on ADD/ADHD people regarding this. i see anticlockwise on adderall (both ways actually) but without the drug, clockwise. the closest i can get to anti-clockwise w/o adderall is a side to side motion. btw, i have ADD

  14. Saw clockwise at first, then after looking for it I couldn’t stop seeing anti-clockwise until I blinked. Then played backwards forwards by thinking left or right each time I blinked.
