Sorry but I could not stop laughing at you breaking Skpye, Ning, the dramas with Wordpress.... Just reminds me of all the times things happen to me...thankfully not as bad as these. Although I feel like I have broken Twitter today! (Bit too upset to talk about it at the moment!).

MMMmmm video tutorials. What can I say.. all that great work. Been there, done that..unfortunately I have found that the people I do professional development with need to be at a certain point before they are able to help themselves. So they tend to fall back on what they are used to, handouts and Sue please sit next to me and tell me which Delete button you mean!

Sue

"It's really hard to get the IT Manager to allow the school server to be useful to teachers."

This must be a universal constant; it irks me no end that support staff make unilateral, unmoderated decisions that affect learning and teaching based on what suits their working practice. Teachers and learners shouldn't be constrained or be made to compromise on the whim of totalitarian network admins.

Clay, wow, you're busy. It's all worth it though. Your ideas have been inspirational to me. I'm getting on board with the global cooling collective. I love the idea of it as a school club.
As for teachers as learners, have you seen Atomiclearning.com. Our school bought in so students and teachers can use it.
And I think the eBook is just about ready. When you get some time, we can message or Skype and get it finished. No rush. Chris

"Teachers don't like being learners."

This, sadly, is a fact that I've been struggling with for the last year and half. Teachers learn on a need basis, and usually don't make pre-emptive strikes at things like this. My theory is that due to time constraints caused by planning, they tend not to focus on all of the cool things you send their way, unless it solves an immediate problem.

Personally, I have taken Stat Counter off of some sites that I set up as help sites. It got depressing.
