Just Sharing: Screencast - "What is Blogging?"

with 5 commentsPrint This Post Print This Post

I know there are better videos explaining blogging, but I just made this one for teachers at my school. It’s the preface to the actual “How to Set Up a WordPress MU Blog” screencasts I made - 5 of them - to follow up. I didn’t go into connective writing, but will in a follow-up. One step at a time. I just show that blogging is real-world by skimming through the NY Times blogs, and a few of my favorite edublogs.

Feel free to check out all my screencasts on my Screencast-o-Matic tech tutorials channel.

  1. Great video Clay. It gives a good insight into blogging for those who are still mystified what it’s all about.
I had just read your reply to my previous comment before watching this so it was quite amazing then seeing almost in real time.

  2. Don’t you love when that happens? It happened to me once with Jeff Wasserman. I posted a comment on his blog, and when it refreshed, a newer post appeared on the screen - he’d been writing it while I was commenting - and the post began with a quote from one of my posts.

Blew me away. Literally opposite poles of the globe, in perfect sync.

  3. hey clay,

very nice video…great examples…your narration (for lack of a better word) provides helpful info for teachers by explaining what blogging is and how it’s different than writing of the past.

looking forward to more great stuff!
