I just noticed, but I think a big example of irony is that for the gumdrops, the narrator remarks "it was insulting to be told not to take too much of something you really didn't want in the first place..." and a sign says " don't be greedy" but in the end, he really didn't want the chocolate at all, can't have it without getting sick. But he denies them it, instead gorging himself. In effect, being greedy. In there lies your answer, why would you take too much? And I think that halloween incedent was a warning, and he ignored it.

I've been saving this for the weekend so I could give it time to look at. Wow! Flixn is so cool. I'm glad I have a webcam. I know one use I will put it to is a tutorial on navigating my classroom blog. My students seem to have more trouble with that because they aren't as net savvy as everyone would like to think teens are. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
