Pass It On: Christian Long’s "Future of Learning Manifesto"

I’ve always loved manifestos. Christian Long asks us to “peer edit” and collaborate on his. See it here.

While we’re at it, Jeff Whipple of Whip Blog turned me on the the TED (Technology, Education, Entertainment, Design) symposium’s videos. For starters, Sir Ken Robinson’s talk on the low priority we put on creativity in our classrooms–here’s the blurb:

Sir Ken Robinson is author of Out of Our Minds: Learning to be Creative, and a leading expert on innovation and human resources. In this talk, he makes an entertaining (and profoundly moving) case for creating an education system that nurtures creativity, rather than undermining it. (Recorded February, 2006 in Monterey, CA.)

Notice the bevy of other video talks at TED. Lots of good 2.0 TV there–and good professional development at the same time.
