Diigo goes beyond del.icio.us by offering highlighting and annotation (posting online “sticky-notes”) to its social bookmarking service. And speaking of del.icio.us, Diigo also forwards all of your bookmarks, with tags, to your del.icio.us account–so no worries about “where did I bookmark it?”
It’s already one of my favorite tools for research and clipping excerpts from websites–without going to the trouble of blogging.
I know, I know–Bloglines does something very similar with “clipping”; but Diigo is the only tool I know of where my highlights are seen on the website, and where the annotations also pop up on the original website when I’m logged in–from any computer world-wide.
So here’s a quick video demo of Diigo. Enjoy!
